For the Owner
For the Owner: import past enquiries from a CSV
Bring in enquiries from before Qadiyo, with outcomes and fees, for reports and the lead score.
Before you start
You need a role that can create enquiries and change settings (Owner, Admin or Partner). Save your spreadsheet as CSV. In Excel choose File, Save As, CSV UTF-8. Each row needs a name, email or phone. Date, Matter, Message and Source help. For reports and the lead score also add Outcome (Won, Lost or Open), Fee for won enquiries, Lost reason and Outcome date. A file can hold up to 2,000 rows and about 1.9 MB. Split larger files.
Before you import, write to hello@qadiyo.com to give your firm's written instruction to import. An import puts your clients' information into Qadiyo, and Qadiyo handles it only on your instruction.
Steps
Open Leads. Select Import. On a phone, select the More actions button, then Import past enquiries.
If you want the column names, select Download a template.
Under 2. Choose the file, pick your CSV. Nothing is saved yet.
Read the summary: how many enquiries are ready, how many won, lost and open, which columns were read, and whether dates were read day first (14/03/2026) or month first. Check the first rows. Open the list of rows that will not be imported, if there is one.
If the file has no source column, choose a source under Source, when the file does not say.
Select Import, which shows the number of enquiries.
What happens next
Each enquiry keeps its real date. Imported enquiries send no messages, start no response clock, run no automatic rules and are not read by the AI. Won rows create client records in Qadiyo. Imported rows do not go through the conflict check or the KYC checklist. Open rows show as Stalled, so mark each one won or lost when you know.
A row is skipped when the same person already has an enquiry with the same date and time, which should stop a second import of the same file from creating duplicates. Check the summary after you import. There is no undo for an import.
If something looks wrong
- Choose a CSV file. In Excel: File, Save As, CSV UTF-8. Save the sheet as CSV and try again.
- That file is over 1.9 MB. Split it and import each part.
- Dates are read the wrong way round. Check the line before importing. Fix the dates in the spreadsheet and choose the file again.
- You do not see Import: your role cannot change settings.
- A row was skipped: the list says why, by row number.
