Getting enquiries in

Add an enquiry by hand

The New lead form, field by field, for an enquiry that came in by phone, walk-in, email or referral.

Before you start

Use this when an enquiry arrives by phone, walk-in, email or referral and you want to type it in. For a WhatsApp chat or an email, see Paste a WhatsApp chat or an email to create an enquiry. For a phone call, see Log a phone call. If you do not see New lead, your role cannot create enquiries. Ask your Owner.

Steps

  1. On the Dashboard select Create, then New lead. (Or open Leads and select New lead.)

  2. Under Who, type the Full name. Add Email and Phone / WhatsApp with the country code, for example +971 52 123 4567. Add Company (if applicable) if there is one. Under They are choose An individual, A business or Another law firm.

  3. Under What, choose a Practice area, then a Service. Leave Not sure yet if you do not know. In What is the matter about? write what the client said, in their words. Add Jurisdiction and Deadline / hearing date if known. Tick Consultation requested if the client asked for one.

  4. Under Handling, check Source (Manual entry is the default), Priority (Normal is the default) and Assign to (you, unless you change it).

  5. Select Create lead.

What happens next

The enquiry page opens with a reference such as L-000123, in the first stage, New. The response clock starts, based on the priority. If the email or phone matches someone already in Qadiyo, the enquiry attaches to that person. Your firm's automatic rules may create a first-contact task or tell the intake team. On plans with AI, Qadiyo may fill in the practice area, priority and tags. Check them (see The AI summary, suggestions and score).

If something looks wrong

  • The Practice area list is empty: your Owner has not added practice areas yet.
  • A red message under Full name: the name is required.
  • You created an enquiry twice or by mistake: only the Owner and Admin roles can delete one. Tell your Owner.
  • New enquiry for this contact, on a contact page, opens this same blank form without the contact's details. Type them in. If the email or phone matches, Qadiyo attaches the enquiry to the same contact.
