Chief of Staff: your morning briefing and Ask Qadiyo

The morning briefing, What's slipping, Ask Qadiyo and the meeting brief, with the plan each one needs.

Before you start

The morning briefing and What's slipping are part of the Professional and Firm plans. Ask Qadiyo and meeting briefs are part of the Firm plan. Qadiyo counts the facts from your records. The AI only writes summaries and answers, so check them.

Qadiyo is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. The AI is told not to, but it can be wrong. Qadiyo does not send anything from the briefing, Ask Qadiyo or a meeting brief to a client.

On plans with AI, the records used for a briefing, an answer or a meeting brief are sent to Qadiyo's AI provider. The privacy notice at qadiyo.com/privacy has the details.

Steps

  1. Open the Dashboard. Under Your briefing read what needs you, such as first replies waiting, partner decisions, documents to check, overdue follow-ups and overdue tasks.

  2. If you have AI access, select Summarise my day for a short written version. Select And N more or See all N items for the full list. Select a line to open its enquiry.

  3. Under What's slipping, read why each enquiry is at risk and who owns it. If you can assign enquiries, select Give to a named colleague. Qadiyo suggests the colleague with the fewest open enquiries. Nothing moves until you select it.

  4. The email version arrives around 7 to 8 am UAE time, only when you have something to act on. To stop it, open Notifications and untick Morning briefing under Emails to me.

  5. To ask a question, select Ask Qadiyo in the menu. Type it (up to 500 characters) and select Ask.

  6. Read the answer and the enquiries listed under it. Select one to open it.

  7. Before a consultation, open the enquiry's Consultation tab and select Prepare meeting brief (Firm plan).

What happens next

Ask Qadiyo only uses records you are already allowed to see. Qadiyo checks that each enquiry an answer names is in your records, and does not show an answer that fails the check. The check does not make an answer correct. A written answer ends with Check the enquiries before relying on it.

The meeting brief collects what is on file: who the client is, what they want, key dates, what is missing, and fact-finding questions. The AI is told not to give legal advice, but check the brief against the enquiry before you use it.

If something looks wrong

  • "Ask Qadiyo is included from the Firm plan": ask your Owner.
  • AI is not available to you, so this searches for the words in your question. Use plain keywords.
  • No briefing card: your plan does not include it, or the Owner switched it off in Settings > Chief of Staff.
  • An answer looks wrong: open the enquiries listed and trust the records.
